RESEARCH INTERESTS AND CURRENT EFFORTS

Ecology, epidemiology and management of diseases on vegetable crops. One of my primary objectives is to develop integrated approaches for management of Phytophthora root, crown, and fruit rot caused by Phytophthora capsici, including the use of cultural practices, host resistance, chemicals, biologicals, and other ecological and genetic manipulations. Research in my lab is also directed towards detection, identification, and analysis of genetic diversity of pathogens causing vegetable diseases.
