My research and extension program focuses on pathogen biology and disease management in fruit crops grown primarily in the southern part of Georgia including blueberries, blackberries, satsumas, olives, pomegranates, and mayhaws. My research interests include: (1) Characterization of the genetic diversity of plant pathogens, (2) Enhancing our understanding of pathogen-vector-host interactions, and (3) Developing novel control strategies for pathogens and vectors.
