Research Interests and Current Efforts
My research focuses on vegetable and fruit diseases caused by oomycetes and fungi, particularly those that severely affect Georgia vegetable industry. My research interests mainly include functional genomics of pathogens, molecular and genetic basis of plant resistance/susceptibility, and developing disease-resistant plant lines via CRISPR-mediated genome editing.
